Jim McGoldrick, a great champion of the Forum, announced at the 2017 annual conference his intention to step down as President of UFHRD.
The Forum is inviting expressions of interest from those members who are actively involved in the full range of work of UFHRD.
In line with the constitution, the President of UFHRD will be a senior HRD academic. The next President will demonstrate understanding and experience of the UFHRD journals and partners e.g. AHRD, IFTDO, and collaborators e.g. CIPD etc. and will work as a strong advocate on behalf of the UFHRD and further the work of the UFHRD committees.
The President is an ex-officio member of the UFHRD Council. The role also involves chairing the AGM, attending the European HRD Conference and presenting the UFHRD awards, as well as various other collaborative activities which involve profile raising and promoting the agendas of the UFHRD committees. The role is not remunerated. Payment will be made for legitimate expenses incurred on UFHRD business.
The Chair, Joint Executive Secretary, current President and Honorary Treasurer are the committee who will select the next President.
